Work magic like Hilary Farr in your own home with the Love It Collection, Hilary Farr’s introductory collection with Covington Fabrics. The collection features an eclectic mix of prints, woven textures, embroideries, and jacquards in an array of colors. Each fabric stands alone with style, and there are limitless combinations to coordinate whole rooms. Hilary draws on her love of nature, arts, and culture to bring that to your home.
Notable entries in the collection are Lounge Lizard and Earthly Paradise, pictured here together. Farr aimed to design a fabric combining the 3D look of a reptile skin with a tonal ombre stripe, which resulted in Lounge Lizard. The fabric is an updated reptile skin jacquard with raised details. The subtle iridescent quality and embossed texture are refreshing complements to the screen-printed linen of Earthly Paradise, and the five colorways make it applicable to almost any room.
Animals feature heavily in the collection, including tigers in Le Tigre, parakeets in Hello Polly (pictured at top) and African elephants in Loxodonta. The playful Loxodonta, seen to the right in batik blue, was inspired by Hilary’s activism in protecting wild African elephants.
Wabi Sabi grounds the collection, acting as a building block to pair with the other fabrics. Woven from filament and boucle polyester yarns, and space-dyed with five colors, Wabi Sabi has a complex weave pattern that creates a lot of surface interest and depth.
